Cliteraly

Sophia Wallace, dayum YOU GO GIRL !!

@ the university of Michigan , I was a gender and health minor of the Women Studies Department. People question the credibility of a women studies minor, let alone the existence of an entire department dedicated to the topic… but the commonality of women’s rights across the board have not been around long.

just because there are women in high places, doesn’t mean that women have equal rights. we have innately been denounced as a inferior human being …

fighting that glass ceiling everyday, we have that much more to prove

I’m all about this girl sophia wallace taking a stand and getting people Cliterate … we hear about dick and balls and having a penis equating to super powers ( outside of just being able to pee in a bottle on a road trip).

weirdly enough, before reading into the Cliteracy project , i did not know that the clit was just discovered in 1998 … !

I think there is much more to a womens body than the media showcases … she mentions how women are over sexualized in the media, this is something i don’t believe will ever go away.

she seems to think it would be okay to use the words pussy, cunt, twat in a more positive and productive way – currently noting that many are used in regards to shame of having female genitals. I’m a little taken back by this , as i do believe that these words should not be used in a derogatory manner – i also no not think it is necessary to call someone a dick, ball sucker or anything of those lines. people should not be called names in relation to genitalia. end of story. its just gross. definitely agree with her that we do need more language to discuss the female body in a positive repertoire …

Witness X Watch #DoitForDetroit

this dope 5 minute flick delves into Downtown Detroit… A new collab series for Mass Appeal between Jason Goldwatch and 13th Witness. These 2 bros dip into the hood, the streets and beauty that lies in the heart of the city. Bringing to the table authenticity and an artistic approach to urban decay.

Showcasing monumental aspects of Detroit such as Little Caesars Pizza ( even making a dig on it not being Brooklyn Pizza) , Homies rockin’ Detroit Pistons gear & touching on weed, alcohol and violence in the streets.

You’d almost wish that as little gangsters roll around the D spray painting, they could pick up like 5 pieces of trash too ! Not just beautifying Detroit by leaving their mark on the walls of abandon buildings, but shaping them up in other ways too !

SUSHi CAKE…

SUSHi CAKE...

Something else to think about … a cake made of entirely SUSHI ingredients !!

Serving 6 to 8 persons:

► For the rice:

Preparation: 10 minutes – Cooking time: 20 minutes – Rest: 1h30

360g (12.6 oz.) sushi rice or short-grain rice
12 tablespoons rice vinegar
6 tablespoons sugar
3 teaspoon salt

Soak rice in cold water for 1 hour. During this time, heat up rice vinegar, sugar and salt until sugar is dissolved. Leave to cool. Leave the rice to rest in the sieve for 30 minutes so it can swell.

Pour the rice into a pan with 360ml (12 oz.) of water. Bring the water to a boil and let cook for 5 minutes whein it starts to boil.

Do not remove the cover, reduce heat and let cook for 5 minutes more over low heat. Let it rest for 10 minutes off the heat with the cover on. Add vinegar and mix gently.

Let cool at room temperature.

► For the topping:

Preparation: 15 minutes – Cooking time: 0 minute

1 nori sheet
500g (17.6 oz.) fresh salmon, skin-less and bone-less
2 tablespoons avocado oil
1 large cucumber
1 avocado
4 tablespoons sesame seeds

Wash the salmon under running water and carefully dab dry with kitchen roll. Cut it in small dices and mix with sesame seeds and avocado oil. Keep in the fridge until we use it.

Peel the cucumber and using a mandolin or a knife, slice it not too thinly. Peel the avocado and cut into slices. In the nori sheet, cut a piece the same size as your springform pan and place it at the bottom. Wet your hands, so the rice will not stick on them, and spread half of the rice, push down firmly. Cover with slices of cucumber and avocado. End up with salmon. Repeat once again the entire process, keep in fridge until ready to serve.

Garnish with radish sprouts soya bean sprout.
