I just feel as thought this is truly an important matter, how Women are portrayed in the media. One major thing that struck my brain in my first week of College at the University Of Michigan, was to understand that indeed the media is a fun house mirror …. how and what we view is completely controlled by gate keepers … these people who predetermine what is and is not beautiful / hot/ sexy/ appealing/ etc.
We see things in the media each and everyday, that influences the way you think … most of the time you don’t even realize how you are being influenced … !

Personally I’m pro – legalization for marijuana ! First of all I think of legalization with an economical prospective … if we can control the substance and no longer have it solely be a black market ( which is sketchy & dangerous ) almost everyone will benefit.
Stiletto Stoners & couch potatoes alike will know exactly what product they are receiving ! It is much safer to have a prescription bottle that describes the content of the MJ than to be handed a plastic baggie with some greens.
If there was legalization, then the product could be control / price pt/ taxed/ etc. I once was at the Michigan Chamber of Commerce back in 2010 … and major men were into the idea of legalization because it would bring a new industry to Michigan. This new industry would not be as large as the automotive industry, but in fact bring new jobs & money to the state. We’d need people to grow it and harvest it and bag it and sell it at the stores which would need to employ a few people at each location!
There would be “regulation from seed to sale” to ensure the safest best product ! It’ll definitely be interesting to see colorado and how things go Jan 1 2014 … !!

Love is calling
As it was my SIXTH trip to New York in 2013 … I took an artisty spin on my Saturday afternoon in “the city”. One thing I do not get to indulge in as much as i’d wish I could would be aimlessly wandering for pop culture. Living in ANN ARBOR, definitely has its perks and I am able to walk for coffee, food & fun ( unlike living in the hood)…. but there isn’t the opportunity to stumble across something like the “Love is Calling ” exhibit … granted some people may not ever get to see something like this in their life time … its bizarre to think that a LUNATIC LADY actually came up with this vision in her head. I was like dayum this lady really must have taken a lot of LSD ! As I stated that to Dana ( photo’d here) while we were waiting in line for the exhibit , the women in front us of informed that in fact, Yayoi was a nutty woman !! We got a bit of information regarding what Yayoi was all about – an 84 year old japanese woman who was institutionalized for many many years – was released for a bit in the late 50s – early 70s to come to NYC to make masterpieces alongside Warhol.

We were giving 1 whole minute in side the room wall to wall mirrors and neon tentacles which you were not allowed to touch .. and snap as many non flash photos as possible. Amazement

One day when I move into my next apartment where I’ll host lavish dinner parties … i hope to fill my kitchen with only the funnest best gadgets that keep everyone entertained ! You betcha I’d buy something like these Grenade Salt & Pepper Shakers … 
In my real home back in the hood, we have this cool Knife Holder – I’d definitely like to have one of these too… everything in my future crib spot will be trendy bright and fun !!
French Fry Party !
Hope you didn’t think that Child Obesity didn’t just go down in the US…. apparently kids today in Japan & Korea are taking eating to the next extreme. This group of kids is FRY Binging here at a Local McDonalds!
This rambunctious group of friends thought they’d take advantage of a new promotion offering a cheap deal on extra Large French Fries ! The friends thought it’d be a fun idea( sure as hell looks it) to purchase $250 of FRENCH FRIES and lay out all the fries across a bunch of trays …. DREAM COME TRUE. Unfortuntely, they caused a huge stir and got kicked out of the Mickey D’s !
